Some better writing and a less light hearted feel and this could have been something. Could see this story having a lot of potential with a modern, slightly darker, remake. A made-for-TV movie that is actually kinda funny, sweet, and with just the right amount of Quantum Leap-schmaltz and cheese. A crime comedy directed by Blake Edwards.
