Joe Letteri, ONZM (born 1957) is a senior visual effects artist, winner of four Academy Awards, four BAFTA awards and four VES awards. He is the current Director of the Academy Award-winning Weta Digital, having joined the company in 2001.
Joe Letteri is a five-time Oscar winner – for his visual effects work on the last two “Lord of the Rings” films and “King Kong.” He was nominated for “I, Robot.” Letteri is a partner in the New Zealand-based digital effects house Weta Digital.
