Nov 2, 2011 · Paul Mazursky's classic film comedy "Alex in Wonderland" has a cult following that should have kept remembering the overall consensus of critics that in all its homage to Fellini the film should only muster the nickname, "1-1/2."
Strange. But any footage of him is welcomed. As the film goes on, every conversation seems dull, the character seem uninteresting, the film is pretentious and self indulgent, the dream sequences look forced, unlike the maestro's. A lot of the dialogue seems to be doing a lousy attempt at being Godard.
