Dec 27, 2023 · In 2012, Mokhzani emerged with about 15 per cent of SapuraKencana after his Kencana Petroleum Bhd merged with Sapura Crest Petroleum Bhd. He later disposed of 90 million shares at for an estimated RM387 million. In 2014, he added another RM1.59 billion to his coffers over the last year to raise his estimated wealth to RM4.22 billion.

Shahril’s company, Sapura Crest Petroleum Bhd, and Mokhzani’s firm, Kencana Petroleum Bhd, merged in May 2012 in a RM12bn exercise to form SapuraKencana.
