Founded in 1963 as Ohio’s first and largest community college, Tri-C has provided high-quality, affordable education and programs to more than 1 million community members. More than 1,000 credit courses are offered each semester in more than 200 career and technical programs.

Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) is a public community college in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Founded in 1963, it is the oldest and largest public community college within the state. Not until 1961 had Ohio permitted the establishment of community colleges and Ohio was then one of only four U.S. states without them.
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®), with support from Cuyahoga County taxpayers and assistance from the state of Ohio, maintains modest tuition and fees — both of which are subject to review during any academic year by the Board of Trustees and may be changed at its discretion with approval from the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
