Augie March are an Australian pop and indie rock band, which formed in 1996 in Shepparton, Victoria. Since 2001 the group consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Glenn Richards, lead guitarist Adam Donovan, bass guitarist Edmondo Ammendola, drummer David Williams, and keyboardist Kiernan Box.
The Adventures of Augie March is a picaresque novel by Saul Bellow, published in 1953 by Viking Press. It features the eponymous Augie March, who grows up during the Great Depression, and it is an example of Bildungsroman, tracing the development of an individual through a series of encounters, occupations and relationships from boyhood to manhood.
Following the release of Tony Cohen's posthumous memoir HALF DEAF, COMPLETELY MAD: The Chaotic Genius of Australia's Most Legendary Producer, Augie March – whose 2018 album Bootikins was Cohen's final recording – have joined Romy Vager from RVG for a surprise re-imagining of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' 'Henry Lee' (featuring PJ Harvey).
