Bilal bin Rabah (Arab: بِلَال ٱبْن رَبَاح, Bilāl ibn Rabāḥ, 580–640M) ialah seorang sahabat nabi dan muazin pertama dalam Islam, dipilih oleh Nabi Muhammad. [4] [5] [6] Beliau dilahirkan di Habsyah pada 5 Mac 580M, bersamaan dengan 1 Jamadil Awal 44SH.
Bilal r.a. adalah hamba berkulit hitam dari Habsyah (kini Ethiopia), dibesarkan di Kota Makkah sebagai hamba anak-anak yatim Bani Abdul Dar yang berada di bawah jagaan Umaiyah bin Khalaf. Insan Yang Terawal Terima Islam. Setelah Rasulullah SAW dibangkitkan menjadi Nabi dengan membawa risalah Islam, Bilal antara orang yang paling awal memeluk Islam.
Bilal ibn Rabah was born in Mecca in the Hejaz in the year 580. [7] His father Rabah was allegedly a slave for the clan of Banu Jumah while his mother, Hamamah, was allegedly a former princess of Abyssinia [8] who was captured after the event of the Year of the Elephant, and put into slavery.
