Ashok Singhal (27 September 1926 – 17 November 2015) was the international working president of the Hindu organisation Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) for over 20 years and in charge of the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi movement.

18 Nov 2015 · The last rites of veteran VHP leader Ashok Singhal, 89, who died on Tuesday at Medanta Medicity Hospital in Gurgaon, will be held on Wednesday at 4.30 pm at Nigambodh Ghat in New Delhi. Singhal was one of the sturdiest pillars of the Sangh Parivar and was at the forefront of the Ayodhya movement which began in the 1980s.
