Jack E. Leonard (born Leonard Lebitsky; April 24, 1910 – May 10, 1973) was an American comedian and actor who made frequent appearances on television variety and game shows.
Vocalist Jack Leonard is best remembered for his time with Tommy Dorsey’s orchestra in the late 1930s, during which he rivaled Bing Crosby as the country’s top male singer. After Dorsey fired him in late 1939, he began a successful solo career cut short by the draft in 1941.

Mini Bio. Big Band singer, a tenor; Leonard started off with Axel Stordahl and Joe Bauer in a group called the Three Esquires that appeared in venues in the greater New York metropolitan area; he joined the Tommy Dorsey band in 1937 and recorded over two hundred songs with Dorsey, including Irving Berlin's "Marie," for which he is best known.
