Abdul Taib bin Mahmud (Jawi: عبدالطيب بن محمود; 21 May 1936 – 21 February 2024) was a Malaysian politician who served as the seventh Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak from 2014 to 2024 and the fourth Chief Minister of Sarawak from 1981 to 2014.

Jenazah bekas Yang Dipertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud diberikan penghormatan terakhir di Dewan Syarahan Utama, Masjid Negara, hari ini. Jenazah dibawa ke Lapangan Terbang Subang.

In a Facebook post, his daughter Datuk Hanifah Taib said the 87-year-old breathed his last at a private hospital in Kuala Lumpur at 4.40am on Wednesday (Feb 21). She said his remains will be at the National Mosque in Kuala Lumpur before being brought back to Kuching.
