Lady Andal Venkatasubba Rao Matriculation Higher Secondary School, popularly known as Lady Andal, is an academic institution in Harrington road, Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India. It is a unit of the Madras Seva Sadan, established in 1987. The school follows the Montessori philosophy.
Sir M. Venkatasubba Rao was born on 18th July, 1878. After a brilliant academic career, he graduated from Madras Christian College. On securing his B.L. Degree, he became apprenticed to Sir. C. V. Kumaraswamy Sastri.
Sir M. Venkatasubba Rao was born to do great things for the society. A brilliant academician, he enrolled as a Vakil in the year 1903. After a short period of practice, he was appointed as a Judge to the Madras High Court in the year 1921.
From the time Lady Andal Venkatasubba Rao Higher Secondary School, Chennai admitted its first batch of eight students in 1987, this preschool-class XII institution has experienced steady growth and boasts an aggregate enrolment of 1,300 students instructed by 62 teachers.
