Jul 18, 2015 · Jeffrey Thomas “Jeff” Porcaro (April 1, 1954 – August 5, 1992) was an American drummer, songwriter, and producer best known for his work with the rock band Toto. Porcaro is one of the most recorded session musicians in history, working on hundreds of albums and thousands of sessions.

It’s a session for a new artist, Raymone Carter. I had not worked for Michael since 1984 so I was a bit surprised. It turns out that Michael was cutting basic tracks on this record with Jeff, Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, but Luke could not make some of the dates.
