Professor Dr. Muhammad Mumtaz Ali was born in Hyderabad, India in 1955 and started his career as an Assistant Professor in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 1987. Since then, he has been serving in the same University.
Mumtaz Ali (15 March 1905 – 6 May 1974) was an Indian dancer and character actor in Hindi cinema from the 1940s to 1970s. He was the father of Indian actor Mehmood. He also had his own dance troupe "Mumtaz Ali Nites" which performed all over India.
Dr. Ali strives to sketch the unique characteristics of truth-based science that can help provide an alternative to modern Western science that dominates scientific endeavours in the modern world. Hence, he defines Islamization of modern Western science and its philosophy.
Dr. Mumtaz Ali’s book is a wide-ranging survey of the history and development of science. He shows the unprecedented and seminal role of the Qurʼan upon human thought and the enormous methodological debt modern Western science owes to truth-based science’s contribution to the human intellectual heritage.

Dr. Muhammad Mumtaz Ali earned his PhD in Islamic Studies from Aligarh. Muslim University, India. He started his career as an Assistant Professor in International Islamic University, Malaysia in 1987. He is still serving in the same University.
Post-1940, after the death of Himanshu Rai and the power struggle in Bombay Talkies and the consequences of the outbreak of World War II, Mumtaz Ali’s career took a slump. But he was already a famous actor and dancer.
