Kendell Airlines was a regional airline of Australia, in the 1990s the largest in the country. It served major regional centres in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania from Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. Many of its services were in co-operation with its parent company Ansett Australia from the 1990s. History.
About Rex. Kendell Airlines began as a small charter and flying school business in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Don and Eilish Kendell became partners of that business in 1965 and in 1967 incorporated the business as Premiair Aviation Pty Limited.
Rex arose from the ashes of the collapse of the Ansett Group when two of its regional airlines , Hazelton and Kendell Airlines, were rescued to form Rex in August 2002.
