Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA), a leading ambulatory surgery center provider, and OptumCare, a primary and urgent care delivery service, are merging to create a comprehensive ambulatory care platform. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2017 and will be funded by UnitedHealth Group common stock and cash.
