Apr 15, 2015 · Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent announced their intention to merge in April 2015, creating an innovation leader in next generation technology and services for an IP connected world. The transaction was completed in April 2016, with Nokia acquiring Alcatel-Lucent shares in a public exchange offer.
