Jan 6, 2022 · The Wasteland is the unique case of a horror movie with a more robust visual sense than a lot of its contemporaries, but that still doesn’t create a larger terror. It’s more the stuff of directors' reels, not nightmares.
Either way you look at the film is actually really good and although I wouldn't call it a classic "horror" film with an entity or a ghost, it's a very clever psychological horror film. There are many monsters that we all deal with in our own life every day without the need to create fake ones.
