Overview. Omar, better known as Omar the Strawberry, is an old-fashioned bandit. Forced to flee to Algeria, he makes a living out of petty crime, accompanied by his famous sidekick Roger.
Omar Zerrouki, better known by his street name Omar la Fraise, is an old school gangster. Forced to flee from France to Algiers, he now lives off petty scams alongside with his sidekick Krimo. But the axe falls: the French courts sentence him to 20 years of jail time. Omar must now clean up his act.
Meeting a group of exuberant young thugs, they partner up and enjoy themselves in the underbelly of Algiers’ infamous neighbourhoods including ram fights and clandestine camel races. But trouble is always around the corner and Omar must fight to redeem himself and protect his loved ones.
