THE FINAL WINTER is the story of Grub Henderson, (MATT NABLE), captain of the Newtown Rugby League team in the early 1980’s, a man with a mission but facing an identity crisis. Grub has problems with his brother Trent, (NATHANIEL DEAN), that date way back in family history but Grub’s problem is really within himself.
As the winds of change sweep across the rugby league landscape, Grub Henderson defiantly stands among all others as the embodiment of those before him. Foreign codes of business are tearing at the fabric of loyalty that exists between Grub's club and family.
