7 Jun 2024 · Foghat released a version of "I Just Want to Make Love to You" as a single from their self-titled debut album in 1972. It reached #83 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "I Just Want to Make Love to You" was first recorded by Muddy Waters, and released as "Just Make Love to Me".

Foghat began back in 1971 when Lonesome Dave Peverett and Roger Earl decided to leave Savoy Brown and start a band of their own. History has proven that this was a great decision. Over the years, Foghat has earned eight Gold Records, one Platinum Record and one DoublePlatinum record.
