Since 1994, Jónsi has been the singer and guitarist for Sigur Rós. To date, they have released eight studio albums. Aside from his many years with Sigur Rós, Jónsi has collaborated with his ex-partner Alex Somers [4] under the moniker Jónsi & Alex, releasing their album Riceboy Sleeps in 2009.
It comprises lead vocalist and guitarist Jón Þór "Jónsi" Birgisson, bassist Georg Hólm and keyboardist Kjartan Sveinsson. Known for their ethereal sound, frontman Jónsi's falsetto vocals, and their use of bowed guitar, Sigur Rós incorporate classical and minimal aesthetic elements.

Jón Jósep Snæbjörnsson or Jónsi (born 1 June 1977) is an Icelandic singer and a former member of the band Í svörtum fötum ("In black clothing"). He represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 and finished 19th.

Bio. Not too long ago, the LA-based Icelandic musician and Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi was traveling through London, where he met up with iconoclastic producer A.G. Cook, who he admired for his boundary-breaking work with the PC music collective.
