Scott Sundquist (born March 7, 1951) is an American musician. He was a drummer for the grunge band Soundgarden between 1985 and 1986. In 1985, Soundgarden was a recently formed three-piece band with Chris Cornell on vocals and drums, Kim Thayil on guitar, and Hiro Yamamoto on bass.
Cornell originally played drums while singing, but in 1985 the band enlisted Scott Sundquist to allow Cornell to concentrate on vocals. The band traveled around playing various concerts with this lineup for about a year.

In 1985, they enlisted Scott Sundquist to take over as drummer so that Cornell could concentrate on vocals. Soundgarden's first recordings were three songs that appeared on a compilation for C/Z Records called Deep Six. In 1986, Sundquist, who by that point had a wife and a child, decided to leave the band and spend time with his family.
Scott Sundquist briefly served as Soundgarden’s drummer, joining the band in 1985. He played on Soundgarden’s first demo recordings but left in 1986 to focus on his family. His tenure with the band was short-lived, but he was part of the formation stages of Soundgarden’s music.
