Born in Warsaw, Krzysztof Knittel studied sound engineering and composition with Tadeusz Baird, Andrzej Dobrowolski and Włodzimierz Kotoński at the Academy of Music in Warsaw. Since 1973 he has collaborated with the Experimental Studio of the Polish Radio.
