Robert Murray Hill AC (born 25 September 1946) is a retired Australian politician. He is an Adjunct Professor in Sustainability and Co-Director of the Alliance 21 project at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. He is also a Commissioner of the Global Ocean Commission.
Elected to the Senate for South Australia 1980. Re-elected 1983, 1987, 1990, 1996 and 2001. Resigned 15.3.2006. Parliamentary appointments. Member of the National Library of Australia Council from 22.2.1985 to 21.11.1989. Ministerial appointments.
Robert Hill took up his appointment as Australian Ambassador to the United Nations in April 2006 following a distinguished career in the Australian Parliament and as a Cabinet Minister in Government. He was a Senator for the state of South Australia from July 1981 until March 2006.
