It was established on September 29, 1962, and it used to belong to the Airlangga University mainly located in Surabaya. Its current rector is I Nyoman Gde Antara.
Udayana University is known as one of the leading institution in Eastern Indonesia and it ranks as one of the 50 “Promising Universities of Indonesia” published by the Ministry of Education of Republic Indonesia, out of nearly 2.500 higher education institutions around the country.
Udayana University, established on September 29, 1962, is the first and the oldest university in Bali. The university has two campuses. One is located in the heart of Bali Province, Denpasar, and the other, including its main office or rectorate, is located in the center of Indonesia’s International Tourism Business Area, Bukit Jimbaran Bali.
