Feb 18, 2023 · Simple. If living in Singapore has the same wage and cost of living as malaysia, Singaporeans would be desperate to leave. Other than public transport and cleanliness and "less corruption" (really its debateable when we don't know what really goes on behind..) there's really nothing more to Singapore than just another westernised city.

A friend's cousin studied pharmacy in nz, came back to Malaysia..did the grunt work. Few years later, runs a few pharmacy chain and making big money. I would say its easier to start a business in Malaysia vs Aust/etc due to the cost of compliance, regulation, etc.
