Cherating Turtle Sanctuary is located just beside Asia's first Club Med in Cherating, Pahang. This centre was established in the year 1972 as a turtle hatchery in an effort to protect the endanger species in particular the Leatherback Turtle. It is open to the public since June, 1 1998.

Went to RELEASE Green Back Turtle. Amazing experience. Cost RM50-10pcs baby turtle (donation to Turtle sanctuary). CALL IN ADVANCE to check if any baby turtles available. Those in my photo are 7days old. Booked through phone. At 6~630pm (Sunset, less birds around). Sanctuary closes 430pm.
