Mineola is a village and the county seat of Nassau County, on Long Island, New York, United States. It's a suburb of New York City, located approximately 21 miles (34 km) east of midtown Manhattan. The population was 20,800 at the 2020 census. The name is derived from an Algonquin Chief, Miniolagamika, which means "pleasant village".
