The Bakun Dam (Malay: Empangan Bakun) is an embankment dam located in Belaga District, Kapit Division, Sarawak, Malaysia, on the Balui River, a tributary or source of the Rajang River and some sixty kilometres east of Belaga.
Bakun HEP is a 2,400MW power plant with a CFRD dam on the Rajang River in Sarawak. It is the largest power generation facility in Sarawak and supports the SCORE initiative for heavy industries.
