- About Wolfson
Wolfson College ( / ˈwʊlfsən /) is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge [6] in Cambridge, England. The majority of students at the college are postgraduates. The college also admits "mature" undergraduates (aged 21 and above), with around 15% of students studying undergraduate degree courses at the university.
Wolfson combines the traditions of a Cambridge University College with a dynamic and outward-facing view. Founded in 1965 as " University College ", Wolfson was initially only for postgraduate students, and was located in a single house with just a dozen rooms and a long, narrow garden that ran from Selwyn Gardens to Barton Road.
At Wolfson, you'll be able to find the sporting, social, cultural, and intellectual activities that suit you. You can join our rowing crews, sign up for the Wolfson Entrepreneur Society, laugh along at our Wolfson Howler comedy night, sing in our choir, or grow your own veg in the student garden.
May 9, 2024 · Going to university as a mature student can be a daunting prospect, so our annual Cambridge 21+ programme is here to support you and give you a taste of life as a Cambridge student.
Wolfson is a unique Cambridge College for 21+ undergraduates, a place for grownups with curiosity, creativity and the desire to make an impact. Our undergraduate students come to us from many locations and all walks of life.
We teach English through a combination of College supervisions (the Cambridge name for small-group teaching) organised and often taught by your Director of Studies, and lectures and seminars conducted centrally by the Faculty of English.
