It’s a unique mixture of adherence to long held traditions passed down through hundreds, perhaps thousands of years – combined with new influences shaped by centuries of migration and assimilation.
Visit the Snake Temple. The Tian Hock Kung Temple is a temple slightly outside of the old part of Klang and famous for its decorative snake sculptures. A few live snakes also live in the temple, but unlike the snake temple we visited in Penang a few days later, they aren’t just snoozing around the place but in cages.

Jun 12, 2017 · Snake Temple or Tian Hock Kung located just 5 minutes drive from Klang town, Selangor Malaysia. The temple was build some 4 decades ago and it is very unique, whereby there are many snake statues around and inside the temple building.
20. Thian Hock Keong Snake Temple. This interesting temple is decorated with numerous sculptures of snakes, coiled around columns, adorning the roof and even wrapped around the altar. I believe it is a Taoist temple and it looks fairly recent although I could be wrong.
Sunday: 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM aka Snake Temple of Klang. Located just beside the Klang 3rd Bridge. Apart from a Chinese temple to worship, there are lots of snake sculptures around, especially the front facade and pillars. However, it's never short of Dragons too.
