He got his secondary education at Royal Military College (RMC) and his tertiary education at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), majoring in Law (LLB).
Syed Abdul Rahman’s father was a Singaporean who used to work in construction, while his Malaysian mother was an English teacher. When he was six, he wrote a letter to former prime minister Tun Mahathir Mohamad, to invite him to his house for some cookies.
