Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management & Technology, abbreviated TAR UMT, is a non-profit, private university in Malaysia. Named after the country's first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman , the school was founded in 1969 as Tunku Abdul Rahman College (or TAR College) by the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA).
TAR UMT was established as Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TAR College) in 1969 and subsequently Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) in 2013. Its latest identity as TAR UMT is adopted following from the upgrade to university status in 2022.
The College started with a single campus in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur which is now the Main Campus. Subsequently, five branches were established in Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah.
