Dato’ Onn Jaafar. Dato’ Onn Bin Jaafar dilahirkan di Johor Bahru pada tahun 1895. Ayahandanya ialah Dato’ Jaafar Bin Muhammad, Menteri Besar Johor yang pertama. Sejak dari kecilnya beliau dipelihara oleh DYMM Almarhum Sultan Ibrahim. Beliau dididik secara timur dan barat (pernah dihantar menuntut di England) serta menerima didikan Islam.

Aug 5, 2013 · Legasi Dato' Onn dalam bidang politik diteruskan apabila cucunya Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein turut menyertai politik dan pernah menjadi Menteri Pelajaran dan juga Menteri Hal Ehwal Dalam Negeri serta Menteri Pertahanan Malaysia. Dato' Onn Jaafar meninggal dunia pada 19 Januari 1962 di Johor Bahru ketika berusia 66 tahun.
