Crazy how we're still stuck with the innacurate official Studio Series version despite how many Bumblebee movie Bumblebee figures there are. There isn't even an improved KO version to get rid of the door wings.

Feb 11, 2019 · Wei Jiang oversized Evasion Prime is probably the best movie figure available, until the oversized retool of the new SS comes out. The first oversized SS is pretty good as well. For $70 it is kind of a steal compared to anything made by Hasbro. DOTM Bumblebee, Feb 11, 2019.

Dec 8, 2018 · This movie takes full advantage of it's premise, and it results in pure fun. Bumblebee has a different structure than usual for modern blockbusters. The beginning and ending are very action-heavy, while the middle is devoted to character bonding and plot stuff (the plot is pretty simple, but solid).
Dec 21, 2023 · I know specifically in the G1 cartoon (the source the Bumblebee movie was referencing most heavily, obviously), the war starts 9 million years ago, and the core group of Autobots only try escaping (with the lead Decepticons following suit) 4 million years ago, leaving a whole 5 million years of war on Cybertron alone.

Not to ratchet up the fun too quickly, but I love how dinky and dumpy the old Chief Medical Officer is here. Vehicle mode is a funky Cybertronian truck-thing, that conveniently already comes in earthen ambulance flavour.
Dec 8, 2020 · I do love the ridiculous way the movie design ended up: ILM designs the robot to turn into a specific type of truck, then midway through filming the producers decide to use an entirely different truck instead... when it's too late to change the bot design for the visual effects (or the Studio Series toy). I imagine there was some table-flipping at ILM and Hasbro that day.
