Tip. Anaconda Navigator is a graphical desktop application that enables you to use conda without having to run commands at the command line. See Getting started with Anaconda Navigator to learn more.
Note. If you installed Miniconda instead of Anaconda Distribution (see Should I use Anaconda Distribution or Miniconda?), Anaconda Navigator is not included. Use the command conda install anaconda-navigator to manually install Navigator onto your computer.
Click the New dropdown.. Create a new notebook with the Python version you installed. Click your new notebook’s “Untitled” name to rename it. You can name it to whatever you’d like, but for this example we’ll use “MyFirstAnacondaNotebook”.
Choose whether to add Anaconda to your PATH environment variable or register Anaconda as your default Python. We don’t recommend adding Anaconda to your PATH environment variable, since this can interfere with other software. Unless you plan on installing and running multiple versions of Anaconda or multiple versions of Python, accept the default and leave this box checked.
