James Baird Weaver (June 12, 1833 – February 12, 1912) was an American politician in Iowa who was a member of the United States House of Representatives and two-time candidate for President of the United States.

James B. Weaver was a Populist leader and presidential candidate who published a book in 1892 to explain the party's principles and reforms. He argued that a plutocracy had taken over the government and the economy and called for a popular uprising to restore democracy.
