Dayton Duncan (born September 3, 1949) is an American screenwriter, producer and former political aide. He is best known for his collaborations with documentary maker Ken Burns.
As the writer and lead producer of COUNTRY MUSIC, a sixteen-hour series broadcast in September 2019, he won a Western Heritage award and two Spur Awards. His script for BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, 2022, a four-hour film biography of the multi-faceted Founding Father, won the Writers Guild of America Award for best documentary script.
