Katsuhito Akiyama (秋山 勝仁, Akiyama Katsuhito, born January 29, 1950) is a Japanese storyboard artist and director. He often works with Shinji Aramaki and Hideki Kakinuma.
Akiyama joined AIC in 1986 and created the classic anime "Gall Force" and "Bubblegum Crisis." He is also famous as director of "Ai No Kusabi", "El Hazard" TV series and "Magical Girl Pretty Samy" TV series.
Akiyama Kazuhiko (秋山 和彦) is a SASUKE All-Star who became the first man to achieve Kanzenseiha, doing so in SASUKE 4. He has not been able to repeat his success due in part to an eye condition known as Degenerative Retinosis that has plagued him for years.
