He studied acting at the Drama School of the National Greek Theater, where he made his stage debut in 1955 in Euripides' "Hecuba" and interpreted several important roles during 1955-1960: Treplev in Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull", Jimmy Porter in John Osborne's "Look Back in Anger" etc.
