He did a course in Cinematography from Adyar Film Institute (officially known as M.G.R. Government Film and Television Training Institute), Tharamani, Chennai, India. Initially, he worked as an assistant to director Rajiv Menon for some advertisements and a film named ”Morning Raga” (2004).
