Born in Hong Kong and raised in England, Maggie Cheung (Cheung Man Yuk) entered Hong Kong show business as a TV actress but very quickly made the transition to movies. She broke through to leading roles in important films when she co-starred in Jackie Chan’s POLICE STORY (1985), and has never looked back since.
