Dolph Schayes. Adolph Schayes ( / ˈʃeɪz / SHAYZ; May 19, 1928 – December 10, 2015) was an American professional basketball player and coach in the National Basketball Association (NBA). A top scorer and rebounder, he was a 12-time NBA All-Star and a 12-time All-NBA selection.
Dolph Schayes was a power forward and center who played 15 seasons in the NBA, winning one championship and earning 12 All-Star selections. He averaged 18.5 points and 12.1 rebounds per game, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1973.
