Sadowsky. With a longstanding reputation for top-of-the-line design and craftsmanship, Sadowsky has become known for its legendary "Sadowsky Sound". Their instruments have set industry standards for superior tone, feel, playability and value.
The bass guitars have a 34-inch scale length with no current models offered in longer or shorter scale lengths. All Sadowsky basses are available only with bolt-on necks. A weight-reducing chambered body is unique to the NYC range (including Satin series and Deluxe Satin series).

Roger Sadowsky is one of the most highly respected instrument makers in the world. He gained early acclaim for outstanding repair and restoration work on guitars and basses. In the early 1980s, the heated vintage market increasingly pushed guitars and basses out of reach for working musicians.
