Degrees and courses. One of Weinberg College's most popular majors, a major in economics prepares students for a variety of positions in government, industry or finance. In addition to a major, the department offers a minor and a joint BA/MA program.
Major Requirements. Six (6) core courses in economics. ECON 201 Introduction to Macroeconomics. ECON 202 Introduction to Microeconomics. ECON 281 Introduction to Applied Econometrics. The ECON 281 requirement will be waived if you take ECON 381-1 Econometrics as a field course.
