Review by Paul Elliott ★★★★½. Conveying some happy and cheerful pirate action while at the same time ridiculing the authoritarian British monarchy, this Michael Curtiz directed movie additionally features the first fully symphonic score by the legendary Erich Wolfgang Korngold.
