Joseph Jacques Jean Chrétien PC OM CC KC AdE (French: [ʒɑ̃ kʁetjɛ̃]; January 11, 1934) is a Canadian lawyer and politician who served as the 20th prime minister of Canada from 1993 to 2003. Born and raised in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec, Chrétien is a law graduate from Université Laval.
