Ichirō Hatoyama (鳩山 一郎, Hatoyama Ichirō, 1 January 1883 – 7 March 1959) was a Japanese politician who served as Prime Minister of Japan from 1954 to 1956. During his tenure he oversaw the formation of the Liberal Democratic Party and restored official relations with the Soviet Union.
Hatoyama Ichirō was one of Japan’s most important post-World War II prime ministers. Hatoyama was born into a wealthy cosmopolitan family; his father was a graduate of Yale University, and his mother was a well-known writer and founder of a women’s college. Entering politics, Hatoyama was elected.
Iichirō Hatoyama (鳩山 威一郎, Hatoyama Iichirō, November 11, 1918 – December 19, 1993) was a Japanese politician and diplomat. Between 1976 and 1977, he served as Foreign Minister under Prime Minister Takeo Fukuda. He was the son and father of two former Prime Ministers, Ichirō and Yukio respectively.

Description. Son of Kazuo Hatoyama who served as the chairman of the House of Representatives. After graduating from the Department of English Law of the Imperial University of Tokyo in 1907, he became a lawyer.
