The First Middle School of Changsha ( simplified Chinese: 长沙市第一中学； traditional Chinese: 長沙市第一中學), colloquially known as First Middle School of Changsha, is a senior secondary school (7th through 12th grades) located in Changsha, Hunan Province, China. The school has been ranked No. 1 among the high schools in Hunan Province. [citation needed] .
During the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–45), Changsha's strategic location made it the focus of four campaigns by the Imperial Japanese Army to capture it from the Nationalist Army: these campaigns were the 1st Changsha, the 2nd Changsha, the 3rd Changsha, and the 4th Changsha.

Since then, the school has been changed to First Union County School, Changjun Public School, Hunan Changjun Joint Middle School, Changsha First Middle School (1951), and Changsha Second Middle School. As of 1984, its name has been reverted to Changjun High School.
