Benjamin David Santer (born June 3, 1955) was a climate researcher at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and former researcher at the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit. He retired from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 2021 and is now a Distinguished Scholar in Residence at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution .
Ben Santer is an atmospheric scientist who studies climate model evaluation, fingerprinting, and detection. He is a MacArthur Fellow, a DOE E.O. Lawrence Award recipient, and a NAS member.
